Raindrops and Roses
My wife and I recently, on the 2nd November 2019, attended a presentation of the ‘Sound Of Music’ performance by Nottingham Operatic Society, at the Theatre Royal Nottingham.
This was the first time we had seen one of the Society’s performances and I’m delighted to say, we were not to be disappointed.
The very appreciative audience was wonderfully entertained from the opening curtain until the final curtain with solo and group performances being a joy to watch.
The whole Cast can feel very proud to have such a superbly, quality, array of talent from adults to young children who were both confident and beautifully melodic.
The children must have extremely proud parents.
I would sum up Nottingham Operatic Society as a very talented, dedicated group of people who give much of their spare time in entertaining audiences from a wide range within the East Midlands.
Finally and in conclusion, this whole performance of ‘The Sound Of Music’ was a classic, full of entertainment, story telling and laughter, performed by extremely special ‘professional amateurs’ of the highest quality.
The rendition, without a doubt, was a demonstration of one of the finest musical performances that we have ever seen in Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham and London.
We have already booked tickets and can’t wait to see the Society’s interpretation of another musical classic, ‘Guys And Dolls’ in 2020.
